Yeah, it usually is, in my opinion anyway. The ones I personally recommend and have used have ranges. Some as low as $350. Still too high for me personally, but not necessarily for others.
To what is not worth it to one, others will pay whatever the cost is to retrieve the data. Some people think pictures of their dead family dog from when they were a child are priceless. -

Thank you for catching me on the "combusting" term for e-juice, but still holds valid for the plant matter. Technically, you're vaporizing, not combusting the e-juice. I apologize for the lack of clarification.
Granted, e-juice is absolutely liquid chemicals. What do you really think it is that you're vaporizing? The e-liquids used in electronic cigarettes (E-cigs) typically consist of a mixture of propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerin (VG), and nicotine, as well as numerous chemical additives that are used for flavoring. There are currently over 7,700 different flavored e-liquids that are commercially available, but there is very limited information regarding either their chemical composition or toxicity. In this work, we developed a high-throughput screening (HTS) assay to rapidly triage and validate the toxicity of multiple e-liquids in parallel. Our data indicated that e-liquids are extremely heterogeneous, so we also performed gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) of all e-liquids to evaluate their composition/toxicity relationship. We found that the presence of either vanillin or cinnamaldehyde in e-liquids was associated with higher toxicity values. In addition, our data demonstrated that the PG/VG vehicle by itself was toxic at higher doses. We have also developed a publicly available and searchable website (www.eliquidinfo.org) that contains these chemical composition and toxicity data. Given the large numbers of available e-liquids, this website will serve as a resource to disseminate this information. Our HTS approach may serve as a roadmap to enable bodies such as the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to better regulate e-liquid safety.

While the vanillin or cinnamaldehyde doesn't have sufficient human studies to show its toxicity when vaporized, there are studies of PG/VG having potentially negative effects (warning: text wall):

Various reports of hospitalization or death following severe vaping usage:

The point being, that from an anatomical level, our human bodies weren't evolved or designed (to whichever you subscribe) to inhale vaporized chemicals or combusting plant matter. That in itself should make it excruciatingly obvious to anyone that partaking in either is going to have likely negative results. Our bodies aren't made for it. They weren't intended for it. The biological processes that run them aren't fine tuned for it.
Whether you're vaping ejuice, DMT, meth, or smoking a bowl of weed/joint or a cigarette, it's all not what your body is optimized for and in most cases, causes direct physical harm. Vaping or smoking anything is not good.
Hate to break it to you burners and MOON PERSONs.

Times are definitely not good right now. Better, as the economy has been on the rise since Obama was still in office, but things are still not 'good' when you compare America to the America of the past, or to other countries.
I mean, people used to graduate highschool and buy a home. You could work a few months to pay for college. Medical bills weren't a serious consideration. Etc.
I guess my statement of "times are good" are perspective and conditional. I thought I clarified that in my original post. Not everyone benefits. Not everyone feels it's "good". Some are going to feel it's bad. Some are going to be outright hurt by it. I was just saying that for me, it's good.

2019-09-08 at 1:56 PM UTC in Trump thinks he is GodAs a business owner and American citizen, I can say with certainty that the direct policies not conjured up by Trump himself, but signed off by him have directly affected my business in a positive way. That being said, if I was not a business owner and happened to be a typical "paycheck to paycheck" type employee, I would be hurt by the very same policies. Also, construction has increased in my area. Roads are being built or repaired. Bridges, new buildings. Yes, of course they always were, but not to this level and not recently. I haven't seen construction of this type since Clinton's boom in the 1990s.
Trump is, in my opinion, an actual retard. I do not think he is an actual racist, he is just too retarded to understand what race means so he often spits out stupid shit. So all of the retard white nationalists who rally behind him thinking he is their savior are also just as retarded as he is. I am almost positively something you'd call a white supremacist, but I don't rally behind Trump like he is the chosen one. Haha.
The people writing policy behind Trump, in some instances, has helped. In others, not. For a typical low-wage, poor class person - Trump isn't helping them. If they are "above-average" in socioeconomics, then yes.
I disagree with his foreign policy, I disagree with his immigration policy, I disagree with his environmental policies, but on a purely economic level only - I have done better under Trump than I did under Obama or Bush. The last time I can remember good times like this, was when I was a child and my parents were benefiting off of Clinton economic booms. Times are good right now. I don't necessarily attribute all of that to Trump being in the White House either though. -
2019-09-08 at 1:25 PM UTC in Installing a game on ps4 from a disk seems to take longer than downloading it?
Originally posted by Lanny write speed to the hard drive is the same either way. I can't imagine why reading from an optical drive would be slower that net IO, like I don't really know how blueray works but if you can read off it fast enough to do HD video decoding it should probably be faster than over an internet connection. I guess I'd go with soy on this one, maybe the disk is scratched and error correction is bottle necking it?
A blue-ray drive reads/writes data at about 33Mbps. So if you pop in a physical disc to be played, the PS4 will read it, cache it to RAM and play at theoretically up to 33Mbps. That is still enough to push HD video and audio to your favorite players for movies and whatnot. For the PS4 specifically:The read-only optical drive reads Blu-ray discs at 6× constant angular velocity for a maximum read speed of 27 MB/s – a significant upgrade from the PS3's 2× speeds that were capped at 9 MB/s
If you downloaded your game, your game will run as an image essentially directly from the hard drive. Depending on whether or not you upgraded your hard drive with a solid state or not will depend on load times but for a stock PS4 hard drive, it will be limited to the loading capabilities of SATA3 which no spinning magnetic hard drive on the planet can take advantage of but still runs between 80-160MBPS on average.
If upgraded with an SSD, you can expect the maximum output of the SATA3 to around 500ish mbps.
The problem is absolutely with the physical bluray medium. -

I'm guessing the DE leans on the GPU and virtualbox is emulating that on the CPU but jesus, I really shouldn't need a dedicated GPU to run a barebones clean install of the supposedly "inclusive" linux distro.
* Which I should not need to run a linux system when all I was using was GCC and vim
The problem was the OSX host. Unless you were running it from a very high-end MacBook Pro or a Mac Pro, your experience would certainly be horrible. The MacBook Pros just don't have the umph to do it. They often have shit dual graphics like AMD/Intel HD that simply can't easily handle both the host and guest without performance hits to the guest. Ubuntu, with all it's pretty shit, certainly taxes it. Even if you turn all the pretty off, typical MacBook Pros are just not suited for this sort of thing.
Running from Windows 10, on a custom built PC with 16GB DDR4 RAM, M.2 SSD, Ryzen 7 1600x CPU, and currently an AMD RX550 GPU, it's essentially flawless given you allocate enough CPU cores and RAM while still leaving your host enough to run it. I've ran OSX, Linux, BSD, other versions of Windows, Android, and some other obscure OSes through a VM and honestly never had an issue/ -
2019-09-08 at 1:11 PM UTC in need help fixing an external hard driveUse TestDisk (https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk) to see if it can recover anything. Honestly though, I see this constantly. "Son knocked over my external hard drive", "Cat knocked over my external hard drive", "Dog knocked over my external hard drive" "Husband knocked over my external hard drive.". Some of them are designed in a way to stand upright on their side. Huge no-no. Never do that. They should be lying flat to the surface they are on. They are easily tilted over and when a hard drive spinning at 7200RPMs or higher tilts over, slams into a desk or the floor, often times, what you see is head damage. The heads are the tiny little magnetic "reader" that reads the data on the platters. Yes, the heads can be replaced, but not by you most likely.
Almost certainly this requires a professional data recovery lab that specializes in physically damaged hard drives. I have a recommendation in Atlanta, GA as well as one in Toronto if you are interested. -

2019-09-01 at 1:21 PM UTC in My Girlfriend's Bad Taste.I tried this myself. The sour cream and chive one is better, but honestly, it tastes a lot like actual mashed potatoes. Like, obviously, it's not and if you're a hardcore retard trying to compare potatoes to cauliflower, then you'll obviously find many things that aren't similar. But for those trying to cut out starches, it's a pretty good alternative.

the /home partition is what you can consider your "c:/users/narc" folder in windows. It contains all your shit. All your files. Pictures, downloads, videos, music, etc. It is good to have a separate /home partition because under certain circumstances, you might need to reinstall Linux. If you have a separate /home partition, your shit is untouched. -
