It's just a pointless slaughter now. Maybe some people think they are buying time for negotiations, but just like in 45, there are no negotiations happening. Zelensky is gone, mentally, not that he ever gave a fuck about Ukraine or goy Ukrainians, and the Russians have no interest in making concessions to a totally broken enemy anyway.
Russia's been open to negotiation from the beginning, up until now it's been the 'Ukrainian side' (orders from above) that's refused any negotations until Russia returns all the territory it holds including the Crimea.
people didn't believe me when I said Russia would just end up doing what it wanted and Zelensky would flee to israel if he lives that long, I think it was on the first page of this thread, but it was really self-evident from the beginning, even though the original plan to go to Kiev and flip the government failed

IDF claims they 'accidentally' killed three hostages.
turns out the hostages either escaped or had been released from custody, were shirtless and waving a white flag. IDF rolled up and immediately executed two of them before leaving the vehicle, third one ran to cover screaming that he was a hostage in Hebrew (he was alone at the time) and they chased and executed him anyway.

apparently two guys from a Donetsk militia crept up to a trench wearing capes (maybe because they thought it was cool, maybe to try and hide from FLIR), one of them stabbed the lookout while he was distracted and the other lobbed a grenade into the trench (unknown number of men in there)
