   yeah, I don't really see the problem with the 'eating bugs' thing. I'm not looking forward to it, but livestock farming is intensely unsustainable at it's current level.

    The whole desire for political revolution is not restricted to any particular political position.
    
    There's some innate desire within us all to break free of the chains of "our oppressors" (whomever that may be) and achieve some kind of emancipation.

    
    I don't really have a long-term plan or an ideological goal though. If anything I'm something of a fatalist; even if we are able to dismantle the current system I'm afraid we'll end up in a similar (or worse) place another few decades down the line. There's only a small chance we won't, and I don't know how that could happen, but even that chance is better than where we're currently headed.

    it's that trust that needs to be attacked and destroyed, because only when people feel like they cannot rely on these institutions to look after them will they seriously start to consider how they can defeat or resolve the many problems of modernity.

    short version because I can't longpost at the moment: mass shooties aren't all that effective at changing state policy or societal views. They're typically more of a personal outburst, a reaction to pressure felt personally, and if they were serious about forcing real systemic change there are much better options available.
