when I was a kid I found porno mags (or at least a bunch of pages of them) in the bushes at parks or beaches at least 3 or 4 separate times. was this actually a widespread thing?
did I win a very strange lottery or did anyone else come across (lol) them too? obviously Kunt had a similar experience.
back when I lived in an apartment that wasn't terrible there was an intercom and a trigger that would unlock the downstairs door. I got out the multimeter and found that the line was constantly live with 5V, and when you pressed the unlock button it cut the power for a few seconds which unlocked the door.
I set up a raspberry pi with a latch relay wired into the 5v line and wrote a script that'd 'open' the relay on command, unlocking the downstairs door.
I added a bluetooth USB stick to the raspberry pi and wrote another script that'd scan for bluetooth modem IDs every 30 seconds or so. once that worked smoothly I set it to scan for my phone's unique ID, and to trigger the unlock script when it was detected, meaning that I could walk up to the front door and as soon as my phone was detected it'd automatically unlock.
unfortunately since I was on the second floor and not right above the door it wasn't all that accurate so it didn't end up being any more convenient than getting out the security key. interesting project though
for a project maybe get a motion sensor and a camera, point it at your front door and write a python/perl script to take a photo or 10sec of video every time the motion sensor trips.
from there you can script it to email you or send the photo to your phone.
set up a backup battery so it keeps running if power goes out.
add a speaker and make it shout NIGGER! every time the motion sensor goes off.
also that instrument looks impossible to play without a concave body
if it's the same chipset you should be able to just put the new CPU in and be good to go - in terms of compatibility it's the only tihng that really matters. If it's an i5 and i7 of the same generation there's not much physical difference between them.
if you want to be sure you need to know the exact model of both chips and the motherboard and check htem against each other
