   The difference is there was never a plan to mass-murder them. They were essentially interned as slave labour.
   
   Early on there were pogroms, later more died due to overwork and poor conditions in the internment camps, and near the end of the war many died because the allies bombed the fuck out of the German logistics system so the camps were unable to receive food, medical and sanitation supplies.
