I saw an interesting comparison the other day
the Abrahamic religions see man as something of a fallen angel, a divine creature that was essentially perfect and has been corrupted, looking for a way back home
the German philosophers see man as a king of beasts, rising from nature and ascending toward godhood by fighting his way to the top of the food chain
