   rifles outclass handguns in terms of range, but short-range lethality is pretty similar depending on the bullet
   
   the real-world benefit of full auto fire is suppression and fire team tactics; even if you wanted to do a shooty you'd probably be better off firing semi-auto unless your targets were trapped in a tunnel or something
