He tried to minimise involvement in Syria and Iraq but was undermined by his own cabinet and military.
He tried to end the occupation of Afghanistan but kind of fucked it up, even if he were 'allowed' to. Again, the military did what it wanted and later openly bragged about feeding him false information and playing 'shell games' with troop numbers.
He tried to normalise relations with Russia but was undermined by the entire state and media apparatus.
He fucked up a whole lot of things too, but the point wasn't that it was necessarily a change for the better, but that it took an outsider to do ANYTHING different. -

But lol it was all good he was understanding as I was able to go buy 10 $500 Amazon gift cards and pay him back that way so he didn't lose his job. It was a close call but these things happen!

That's the sort of thing they'd do if they actually cared. Although getting rid of her actually works from multiple angles, like everything else these sorts do. You get a martyr, and you take care of a nuisance.
The thing is Dugina was trying on getting involved in politics, reaching out to European politicians like LePen, being Russian ethno-nationalist, mouthing off and being opinionated. Branching off from her dad and his weirdo theories and trying to be effective, seeing what worked.
They hate that in the Kremlin system, cos even if you're with them today, you could be against them tomorrow.

What i want to know is how the bomb was constructed. Specifically, how it was initiated. Remote control? Timer? Tied to the hardware of the car? A mechanical operation?
Then we would know if this was a weapon that allowed for precision. If it was, the victim didn't die as collateral damage.
keep in mind Dugin got talked up a lot in the West but doesn't have much of a following in the Russian state apparatus. He doesn't (didn't) have any special security or protection so he was a soft, high-value target whose death wouldn't affect ongoing conflicts or domestic political stability.
