Anyway, the fuck you doing ordering 200 dollar book stands when you wouldn't even shell out to get a - what was it? - sink for your bathroom? And if you haven't bought a book in ages, why do you need a new book stand? Seems a little odd to me considering your confessed cheap mentality and lack of excess financial resources. Have you been LYING to us, Johnny?
It's a matter of principles, priories and aesthetics.
I did buy myself a new bathroom sink earlier this year, after it went on sale. Got it for $225, where previously it had been listed for $450. Got the faucet at a discount too.
As for the bookstand, that was an indulgence. I have been looking for one for a long time to use to display a rather large and expensive book on, and I finally found a bookstand that I liked. I am just pissed off that I didn't get it for the lowest price, I could have saved $25 if I had known who the maker was before I ordered it; unfortunately the sellers that I came across on ebay and on Google didn't mention the manufacturer's name, so I wasn't able to find it at the bottom price, which is what I like to pay whenever possible.
Anyway, here is the bookstand:
And here is the book that I bought the stand for:
