So I had a temp here this week, he started on Tuesday and was very enthusiastic asking if it was going to be a longer job than advertised (I always hire them for a 2-4 days first to try them out). "I'm so sorry for the last couple of days, my uncle who has cancer was taken to hospital and I've been there with him but I'm ready to work tomorrow"…
I messaged back "Ok, but we need people who can be relied on, will you 100% be here tomorrow (friday) and ongoing"
"yes, please give me another chance".
So being the kind spirited person I am I said ok and accepted his application.
….he was supposed to be here at 7.30am…it's now 8.55am…no show, no call…what the fuck is wrong with these people
So I cut and blocked him from applying again and opened up another position and accepted someone to start Monday…lets see if THAT guy shows up.

not true.
if you go to a serious forum such as Bob is the Oil Guy (where else can a middle aged man go) threads get locked after a certain set time. many serious forums re like that.
also plenty of them censor all the "hurtful" words such as 'fag'. which can be pretty funny for a forum like BITOG whenever FAG branded bearings were mentioned. -
