He is. His mom is jedi, his dad was black. He hated his dad, who was abusive, and was raised by his mom's family.
He had the typical jedi approach to argumentation - he treated discussion as a game, something to be won. No regard for reality, truth, any of that shit. Objective truth was irrelevant, what mattered was winning the argument. That was something that confused and infuriated me when I first encountered it, I'd never really debated with jedis before.
