The people who control the github access may or may not be good/bad actors, this is a similar flaw with monero as people are starting to question the direction of some of these open source projects. When I was looking into making my own exchange coin pairs with privacy coins and seeing how they interact I came across a small independent exchange that submitted a pull to the monero source code which if you want to have your coin be able to interact with the monero network you have to code it yourself or pay for development yourself, they will not code your shitcoin into XMR network because you ask nice or your coin is popular or whatever PLUS the current market rate competitive rate is like several thousand dollars, they will not even consider your proposal unless you contribute in some way and prove you aren't some government spook. I think it's a good system but also I can see how it's not perfect. I'm also losing faith in DASH, ARRR and WOWNERO as alternative privacy coins. I wonder if DGB is cool I was looking at mining that recently, mite b undervalued
