just got a mini griptilian, what do you think of benchmade's 154CM
Overall they produce quality knives and they have an excellent warranty service. 154cm is a good all around stainless. It's not super new high-tech but it's still widely used and it has good performance. Steel type tends to be less important than heat treatment. I've grown to prefer easier to sharpen steels simply because I can keep a razor edge without much effort and a little sharpening time is all that's needed to restore the edge.

If you do multiple coatings you end up with that nice extra crispy exterior. Try a cajun seasoning mix sometime. Season the chicken, then batter, then fry. Leave the chicken pieces whole! It's less work.
