I don't know why.. it's many things. why did music start to suck? I say corporate polished. in the 70s or earlier, musicians fought with corporate management and said "I do it my way or I walk'. they weren't going to sell out. at best there was compromise. it isn't there now. no slight human imperfections and a little off key yet still soulful and very joyous to listen to.. so much you become one with the vibrations it had.
