but anyways, after seeing my parents spend thousdands and thousands of dollars and my dad end up telling me he should of done nothing because I'd still of probably turned out the same way, I agree, and I go my own way by talking to my swami and practiciing meditation and trying to better myself each and every day.

well for one psychiatrist claim that "mental illness" (anything they deem not normal in society) is caused my a chemical imbalance in the brain, but thats never been proven.
And a lot of medication they don't know exactly how it works but hey have theories on what it does. (and the meds don't always work)

Alcohol at least if I have something important to do I can just not drink. Anti-psychotics are something you're supposed to take every day so its constantly in your system. I just didn't see the point in taking them.
several years ago while in jail the first two weeks I couldn't sleep at all because I wasn't drinking so a couple of times I took seroquel to try and sleep, while it heavily sedated me it was uncomfortable because it would give me restless leg syndrome so I was still waking up constantly it was awful.
I used to take abilify years ago when I worked the night shift at the hospital and as if it wasn't already a pain in the ass for me to sleep during the day, that medicine pretty much did the same thing where I felt this energy in my feet and legs.
Plus I also used to take depakote and it was making my hair fall out and my lips quiver. I unfortunately have a lot of experience with those kinds of drugs to the point where I can tell whos on something, like for example a few weeks ago some girl spent the night at my place and we were going to sleep and I felt her jerk as she was entering the early stages of sleep, I had also noticed her lips quivering ever so slightly when we were talking, I asked her if she took meds and sure enough she did. -

I don't believe in their practices as being healthy, its a pseudoscience in many respects. I believe that bipolar, schizophrenia and major depression are maladys of the spirit and that is over looked by psychiatrist and the medicine they give out is dangerous and I think its down right amazing how over the last 15 years more and more people are put on these dummy drugs.
My dad used to make me take all this medication when I was in highschool and it ravaged my body and mind, I eventually started cheeking the pills and tossing them down the sink, the only meds I took on the reg was adderall, marijauana and coffee before going to school and I started doing so much better.
My dad even told me he was glad I was doing so much better and I told him i had actually quit taking the anti-psychotics amd boy was he pissed but you can't argue with the positive results and how much better I was doing.
while on these anti=psychoitc meds they made me feel so slow, I even had to go to the hospital on the weekends to get my blood tested to make sure I didn't have toxic levels in me. Deplorable. -
