These guys are not heroes, they chose the military for an easy ride and then got screwed.
-No one forced them to kill anyone, you could easily avoid anything traumatic by hiding in a cave or bush.
-The anti-war sentiment is drilled into us since infancy, yet these guys just cant help themselves. They sign themselves up for wars they dont even understand the mark of a true fool, a simple google will teach you the military is a huge cashgrab and wars arent real!
-Extremely unappealing top-down hierarchy which creeps any normal person out, tfw will endure extreme humiliation and unwavering submission to boomer generals for what? the chance to wield a gun like in their precious call of duty, pupils rolling back into dollar signs thinking about how they can make money for doing nothing but procedural BS.
-They arent fighting for freedom, or justice, or their wives and military brats back home. Not to mention the homoerotic companionship which occurs in these spaces.
