Yeah this is another thing, I drink and the next day I feel like I have full blown AIDS.
The black outs are what scared me also. The day after the last binge I woke up with a half bottle of vodka and bags of cocaine unsniffed around me. I just ended up having them for breakfast and carried on. -

If you are replacing a lifestyle of partying, socializing and abusing drugs than you need to replace it with something and change your life, not just your drug habits.
There is nothing wrong with drinking and doing cocaine but if that's all you do and all you live for than it becomes a problem. I have a friend that works three jobs just to support cocaine and alcohol abuse and he just panic sold all his crypto to buy more cocaine and is planning on going to rehab soon and he's depressed, etc etc
I don't even think cocaine or booze is the main problem, it's not helping but the problem is his mentality. You don't need to spent all your money on cocaine and such but people become addicts when they have no support structure or life outside of partying and abusing drugs.
I used to be the same way even as a person that is fine with just staying at home alone on a friday night playing video games by myself and getting high, I was not actually doing anything with my life and only going to work to get more drug money and when I was hungover and the dealer didn't pick up it was the end of the world because I revolved everything around drugs
all of the people on this forum that died from drugs were the same way they had no relationship or real career prospects or hobbies or any real life outside of degenerate shit and pretty much only lived to get high. You still seem to have that same mentality to me and could end up dead if you aren't careful

I couldn't balance being a drunken fiend with normal life and that was my problem. There aren't many people who can to be honest, you even said your friend works 3 jobs to support his drug habit, fuck-that!
You're right about people who's entire life revolvs around drugs but that's even worse. -
