And I've heard pretty much everything. It's the only music I never tire of.
Jon Anderson is a half-Irish pixie genius. He tossed out everything that makes music annoying, the things most people consider the elements of music.
*Melody? Nope, just some notes he runs up and down the scale and does variations on.
*Harmony? Not really. Just some double voicing.
*Fixed tempo? Not put into that box.
*Rich singing voice? Anderson's voice is without timbre or color.
Incredibly brave fellow. How did he know it would even work?

This was just 8 years ago live at the Apollo. Not bad at all considering their age and that it isn't studio tracked.
