To get more metaphysical about it, words are just ideas from my brain, transcribed into vibrational frequencies, that travel through the air, enter your ear drums, up your brain stem, where your brain then associates those patterns with its own ideas, until something like a transfer of information/understanding has occurred.
There is some data loss in this process, it depends on whether or not the two parties are running a comparable operating system so to speak.
But that's all words are, a method of transferring information, they don't have some inherent immutable underlying "meaning" in and of themselves.
If enough trans women say they ARE women, and enough people agree with that idea, the word changes. That's how all words enter into language and lexicon.
Saying someone doesn't have this or that chromosome or whatever isn't as relevant as what it means culturally/socially to be a woman
No it does have a meaning. It means “adult human female” -

I said what's relevant is what it means culturally to be recognized as a woman. Just saying someone is an adult human female doesn't really describe their role in culture or society. That's something that happens in your own mind.
Ability to bear children is one historically, but there's ways around that now like adoption and surrogacy.
Presenting with a female form - soft rounded features, high pitched voice, breasts - thats also generally considered part of being a woman. That can be done with HRT and surgery pretty convincingly nowadays.
Then there's also "girly" activities and pursuits that are generally attributed to women and girls.
But all of this is a spectrum. There's women that are born as what you'd consider scientifically to be female, but grow up looking hella butch and are into sports and shit. But you'd still call that a woman.
So in your mind, biology is the only thing that determines what a woman is. That's an idea in your head. Someone else might have a different idea. And that's what words are meant to convey, ideas. -

It's not just an idea in my head, it's been the general consensus since before davincis balls dropped. -

Someone might think their dick is a slice of bread. That's not going to make all OK when they shove in the toaster.
Reality is not determined by what you want a word to mean. -

So you agree that consensus is more important than what you personally think a word means.
So if consensus is shifting away from your interpretation, you'll start calling trans women, women? -

It's not what I want. Language is like a living thing itself. It evolves, sometimes rapidly, outside of anybody's control. -

You're right I'm really just playing devil's advocate. I don't believe trans women are women either.
The radical left realized a long time ago the power and importance of words, of language, and they use it to manipulate consensus.
I'm just kinda an observer I don't really care one way or the other -

If you change the definition of woman another will "evolve" which means adult female human. If you change the definition of female another word "evole" to define a human with XX chromosomes. So play semantics and word games all you want but someone with XY chromosomes can not be a woman. -

What about when nanomachines can enter your bloodstream and rewrite your entire genome and anatomy with CRISPR?
That's probably coming sometime this century -

And then all the "impures" need to be eliminated, so as not to pollute the "pures", all in the name of the greater good, of course. -
