   I want to get an Alienware Gaming Laptop but I don't know why. I don't even play games usually, sometimes StarCraft but that's about it.

   Unless you need it, gaming laptops are kinda shitty. They're heavy, have shorter battery life, and are more expensive. The chips in them are mobile versions, which means about 60% as fast as the desktop versions of the same chip. And they get hot in use.
   
   They have the advantage of being portable, but if you have space and don't plan to move around much, a gaming desktop can be cheaper and better.
