    Not true. 24 years difference. some may have volunteered but the average age of WWII was 22-24

    most of the older vets worked in ship yards or were air-raid brigade knocking on doors and telling people to turn their fucking lights out or pull their black out shades.

    you're talking about Generals and Officers and shit. they're career soldiers. I was talking about the majority of privates served their time so it became the next generation's turn.

    there probably wasnt enough room to send in age 19-55 Americans. Also if the war took place in Germany or France etc, obvious the rear or homeland is going to be protected by anyone capable of fighting but the front line was younger men.

    old dudes with aches and pains and overweight trying to fight in the trenches. get real.

    Every German WW2 diary i've ever read the company and platoon leaders and officers were all WW1 veterans. This is why I think WW3 will never happen because WW2 was mostly just WW1 and we are so far removed from that that any modern "world war" would resemble something completely different and I think by then the "old world" will be so far away that calling it WW3 will be insane, like in 50 years or so it will be like saying we are having the continuation of Napoleonic era wars in 2024.

    An example I remember from one where all the officers "Clicked their heels together like in the Kaiser's time" because they were all "old cocks" especially the Wehrmacht, not so much the Waffen SS which mostly adheres to the "young conscript" image you seem to think was widespread in the entire German Army, and a lot of them were volunteers .

    I wasn't overweight until I was late 30s, lost the weight and it came back, lost it in my late 40s and then during covid I shot up to 255 or just under

    not at 19. not at 22 like many college students are. and even Highschool. the "Fat people" when I was in highschool or college age would be Average weight today.

    I'v seen some serious heavy people in California lately which maybe was more common in Iowa or some shit.

    "Healthier Oils" did this. Cut Trans fat then the oils today dont seem to break down and people don't walk like they used to. few highschool kids had cars when I was younger and many have New cars today.
