The team of authors — formed to provide annual scientific updates between the every seven- to eight-year major U.N. scientific assessments — determined last year was 1.43 degrees Celsius warmer than the 1850 to 1900 average with 1.31 degrees of that coming from human activity. The other 8% of the warming is due mostly to El Nino, the natural and temporary warming of the central Pacific that changes weather worldwide and also a freak warming along the Atlantic and just other weather randomness.

On a larger 10-year time frame, which scientists prefer to single years, the world has warmed about 1.19 degrees Celsius (2.14 degrees Fahrenheit) since pre-industrial times, the report in the journal Earth System Science Data found.

Aside from... like... the English language, I actually can't think of a single British invention off the top of my head. Literally everything I think up, I do a quick google search, and it turns out the brits didn't actually invent it. I was going to jokingly credit you for panel shows and even those were invented by the US.

cotton mills only care about the bottom dollar, they will let you put anything on a flag because they are greedy capitalists. Greed breeds pride. Every cotton mill and synthetic fabrics producer needs to be torched to the ground and every executive lined up against a wall and shot, and that would only be a drop in the bucket towards solving the problem.

    Am I right obbe????

I'm just taking the green agenda to it's logical conclusion. The government funds green. What I say might not be nice but the only reason a lot of industry exists is only for the benefit of itself at a net loss to the entire planet just so they can make a quick buck selling cheap things that break, create more waste and expand the supply chains further, chop down more trees until there is nothing left.

    ex. https://www.domtar.com/

Domtar Corporation is a North American pulp and paper company that manufactures and markets wood fiber-based pulp and paper products. The company operates pulp mills and paper mills in Windsor, Quebec; Dryden, Ontario; Kamloops, British Columbia; Ashdown, Arkansas; Hawesville, Kentucky; Plymouth, North Carolina; Marlboro County, South Carolina; and Kingsport, Tennessee. While Domtar operated independently for several decades and was listed on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges, the company was acquired by Paper Excellence Group in November 2021 and has since operated as a subsidiary.

Specifically, Domtar designs, manufactures, markets and distributes a wide range of business, commercial printing, publication as well as technical and specialty papers with recognized brands such as Cougar, Lynx Opaque Ultra, Husky Opaque Offset, First Choice, Sandpiper (premium 100% recycled unbleached), and Domtar EarthChoice Office Paper, part of a family of environmentally and socially responsible papers.

Domtar owns and operates Domtar Distribution Group, an extensive network of paper distribution facilities. The company overall employs nearly 6,400 people. Its head offices are in Montreal, Quebec, and Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Domtar is a private company headquartered in South Carolina with an estimated 6,300 employees. In the US, the company has a notable market share in at least five industries: Wood Pulp Mills, Paper Mills, Coated & Laminated Paper Manufacturing, Diaper Manufacturing, Newsprint Manufacturing and Coated & Laminated Paper Manufacturing. Their largest market share is in the Wood Pulp Mills industry, where they account for an estimated 18.8% of total industry revenue.

The reason the green agenda will NEVER become fully realized is because companies like this that control 18% of the global PAPER market also market themselves as environmentally friendly, just like oil and gas companies do. They have lobbyists and friends in high places with industry action groups and billions of dollars given to government to allow them to create their own laws and rules and do whatever they want.

There is no way carbon capture or any green initiative will ever stop a juggernaut like that, and that is just one company, a small fraction of the entire market.
