Anyone have any experience with kanna?

   I just watched a short little video where this dude tried different legal, plant highs like kava, Crouton, fly agaric and stuff.
   
   He said kanna's effects were similar to mdma and he actually snorted it. I thought it was like a toss and wash or tea kind of thing.
   
   Just wanted to know if anyone here has tried it and what effects you may have had from it.

   It's some kind of plant that's legal and psychoactive. Not sure of the scientific name, probably from Asia like most of those psychoactive legal substances. I figured someone here would have tried it for sure. The way the effects were described and the price of it seems like it's too good to be true.

   I don't think the main drug in the plant is a quinoline alkaloid but one of the components is and the other major ones are similar but closer to MAOI's and do effect serotonin. There has been 40 years of research trying to make a complete total synthesis of Mesembrine "Mesembrine is an alkaloid present in Sceletium tortuosum (kanna).It has been shown to act as a serotonin reuptake inhibitor (Ki = 1.4 nM), and more recently, has also been found to behave as a weak inhibitor of the enzyme phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4)"
