Don't do this.
I had 1/2 a bottle of Merlot left over from making the Beef Borgininon and was wondering what to do with it as I don't drink anymore. (No putting it in food doesn't count).
Anyway I had 2 NY strip steaks in the freezer so this past weekend I decided if it's good enough for chuck beef it should be hella shweeet on premium steak.
Defrosted the steaks, plopped them in a bowl and poured the wine all over them and left the to marinate overnight. Cooked them the next day and they looked and tasted...
