I went to a public, walk-in only thrift store
-
2023-10-26 at 11:11 PM UTCThey had narrow aisles, lots of shoppers, and not a lot of other stuff. Most of the non-clothes were just nick nacks on top of the clothes racks.
Honesty I was taken aback. They had a few computer screens but no prices on them and I assumed theyre piece of shits, and they had a coffee maker for 4 dollars and it was clean. The coffee maker is the only thing I would buy if mine was dirty i woulda just bought the four dollar one and thrown the dirty one away heard.
Anyway I was not impressed with the thrift -

It's a numbers game, in that you have to go regularly...a 1 time visit is more than likely going to result in disappointment...but if you go several times a week that's when you find the golden egg. -

but how do you deal with the shame of being there 3-4 times a week.
is that normal where you are or is it a something that, as far as you know, only you do.
you you see regulars over there ?
familiar faces ? -

I would just get chummy with one of the employees and give them a list of what to look for, slip em a few greenies on the side. Could even just have them wear a go-pro on their head all day and have a live streaming connection to your work computer so you can just see what they see at all times making sure you never miss any GOLDEN EGGS -

I've tried that at my regular VV, they are not receptive to the idea. -

Easy, I'm not a cuck who feels shame doing anything I want to do. If you're a REAL man vincent shame and embarassement are not part of your "cadre".
Talk about projectionis that normal where you are or is it a something that, as far as you know, only you do.

Yes it's normal, plenty of people thrift and sell on Ebay..or even their own thrift store/flea market stall, I have several "competitors"...you can easily identify a serious THRIFTER because they'll have their phone in their hand looking things up on Ebay etc to see if it's worth buying/selling. -
2023-10-27 at 10:29 PM UTCThe lady at our store says they have regulars that show up every day when they open. You got to be quick, one time one of my boys and I stopped in. They had a nice down jacket, Columbia I think was the brand and he started to buy it because it was a steal. Long story short he didn't buy and next week it got cold and came bumming me for a coat.
Of course dear sweet dad ragged on his ass for a couple days about. -

they now have online version of these mazes.
took me days to browse everything they have,
a single site could have anywhere from 2k to well over 10k products, mostly in the dollar range. -
