2023-08-01 at 5 PM UTCBitcoin isn't even Zero Knowledge but it's like fax machines and BBS software it doesn't need to be skitzo okay. if they literally encrypt banks common PIN with 8 bit shit I think SHA-256 which seems to be a common standard in a lot of things is good enough, you don't need a 20,000 node God AI hivemind to 'ZERO KNOWLEDGE" prove anything, really. Sure it's cool and solves THE BYZANTINE GENERAL PROBLEM but who the fuck cares about that???? Great math trick but i'm starving and my computer MOVE MONEY SLOW! AND UNSAFELY!!

2023-08-01 at 5:02 PM UTCWhich kinda makes ring 0 retarded but you are just trading stability with FAST PROCESSING COMMAND LINE RING 0 , if a bit flips the entire thing comes crashing down, GOOD!! My computer never crashes, I miss when computers used to fuck up a lot in weird ways. It was annoying, but less annoying than gettting JEEEEERTED by a modern js page and AJAX hell

2023-08-01 at 5:08 PM UTCI honestly don't think you understand what memory rings/pages/segments are, but ok

cant remember if i posted thisRequirements
Phone system
An analog telephone adapter (ATA) with minimum two lines - I used the Cisco/Linksys PAP2T which seems to be pretty ubiquitous, but the same company also sells similar models which work just as well like the SPA2102
A raspberry pi to run the phone system - In my setup, this is a raspberry pi 3 running RasPBX, a free PBX (basically a mini phone switch)
Dial-In Server - This is the server which will accept our incoming calls and translate the dial-up traffic over to the home network
A machine that can run Windows XP without compatibility issues - I'm using some pretty old late '90s hardware which is more suited for Windows 98 but it can handle this use case just fine. The most important part is that it needs to have…
a fully functioning modem - Mine is a US Robotics OEM modem on a PCI card.
Windows XP - with all the networking features installed at setup (you probably don't need them all, I just included everything that had to do anything with networking just in case since it won't harm anything even if we don't use it)
A way to connect to the internet - I'm using a TP-Link TL-WN823N USB Wi-Fi dongle -
2023-08-27 at 12:06 PM UTCno way this works

# Create a Fax instance
fax = Fax(username='your_username', password='your_password')
# Send a fax

Step 1 β the fax service waits for the fax line to ring. The fax service is always on regardless of whether your computer, smartphone, or email client is active.
Step 2 β the fax service answers the ringing fax line. The sending fax machine transmits the fax information to the fax service.
Step 3 β the fax service stores the fax. A web browser, software program, or app can access the faxes.
Step 4 β the fax service emails a copy of the fax to the designated email address(es) (some fax services allow for more than one recipient email address). The email arrives with a copy of the fax in PDF format. -
2023-08-31 at 10:28 PM UTCi dont't have a ringing line I just have a fax software and a ip address, which also rings sometimes

2023-08-31 at 10:46 PM UTCi guess it technically counts as voip since faxes are basically phone signals. like you should be able to do it IP to IP but without even an IP address. If BBS's can work in my browser I don't see why this wouldn't work

2023-08-31 at 11:15 PM UTC"VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a technology that allows voice communication and sometimes even fax transmission over the Internet. While VoIP usually involves phone numbers for routing, you might be able to set up a VoIP system without traditional phone numbers, but it would involve some complexity."
god dammit
you would just need like a thing on both ends but I don't see how it's possible without some server in the middle unless it's something like P2p and the software gives you a fake phone number like 123653434343 and you send to 123653434343 but it doesn't try to call that TELEPHONE NUMBER it just knows that that's IP=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and sends it to them -

Have you set up your fax server properly, or do you even have one? -

2023-09-01 at 1:29 AM UTCEFax isn't a fax server, it's a fax service. Two completely different things.
