   I've dreamed about people who I've never seen. Haven't you ever had a dream where like there was some character in it and you know "this is so and so" but they don't look like so and so? We do usually identify people visually but it's definitely possible to have a recognition response that's not in line with what you see, like any time you mistake one object for another or whatever.
