No you buy near the same specs by purchasing a 17.5 chrome book acer and get an android base that uses less data and a larger screen for 150 dollars since they don't have to pay windows for their os

Also this is 4gig of memory I belive the chrome book is 6RAM

The dealer is out. I bought one on Walmart and forced a cancle purchase from Amazon which was from the same authorized refurbished dealer out of China but had in-stock in NYC

Anyways one was 150 dollars with 6 gigs of ram and the original same specs for 175 dollars both 6 gigs of ram and 128 gb drive

The cheapest now is 160 for 4gig ram and 64gb drive

It's the same i3 core though. Buy refurbished because they recheck everything and replace Lemon parts

Never pay full retail. Always buy from 4 plus stars with at least 200 confirmed buyers. That goes for all things

not bad deal for the specs, 15" is relatively big though so make sure you can handle the girth. Acer build quality isn't great in my experience but people buying $250 laptops can't exactly be picky

usually a good deal if you get FACTORY refurbished but the warranty is reduced

I wouldn't go with a chromebook because if you're using it for school there may be Windows apps you need to use. you can install Windows or lunix but that's something you'd need to figure out how to do. Also you'd definitely want to avoid getting a celery processor, the difference in performance is pretty big

actually you probably want more than 4GB of RAM and I'd doubt the laptop in OP can be upgraded

oh fair enough, there are two bays

a lot of cheaper laptops now have the RAM stick soldered directly to the motherboard to save costs and space

I really have no idea how well PCSX2 or whatever is going to run on integrated graphics though, haven't tried emulation in a while

I told you to make sure the seller has a 4 plus star with at least 2000 or more purchases. this guy was like 7000 with a 4.2 star seller rating.

I got an awesome deal because everything has gone up in price for Christmas.

and honestly, I will never buy a new car again. but get an extended warranty if you fear "getting fucked over" Amazon does this. if they cant fix it they will replace it with same specs. same with Walmart.

I'm never going to buy from BestBuy ever again.
