Explain the German and Old French word Dié

    Die or Dié in German (if I remember correctly) is a rolling K' sound in it. like deek'e

    Its used for Live or Cease? but it's why the English word Die exists. cease to live? it is also used in place for Das "The" in some cases?

    It's very confusing. literally Die in English is Live in German? or living?
