   Well the difference is brass knuckles are not really a life or death protection thing against someone trying to kill you whereas a gun is.
   
   If someone breaks in your house at 2am or tries robbing you on the street a gun makes more sense than a set of brass knuckles...not really an effective self defense weapon.
   
   Knuckles are primary bought by thugs and wannabes.

   Yeah it would be stupid to carry in states like TN where you don't even need a carry permit. I always picture brass Knuckles being used to tune someone up over a drug or gambling debt.
