I want to be completely nicotine free. Weaning off seems easiest.
I’ve quit before, following a two week long hospital stay where I obviously couldn’t smoke. They gave me nicotine patches for like the first week (I think..I can’t remember how long tho) I have patches, maybe I should try that route again? I have one and a half packs left. I’m not gonna buy anymore when those are gone.
I still miss that early morning kick in the chest from the first puff of the day. But smoking is fucking dumb, it's like the shittiest drug that does nothing but alleviate the discomfort that it creates itself. I'm too vain to let my skin wrinkle to fuck for that shit.
On a serious note I have these nicorette patches that I haven't used and don't plan to use them it says let me see nicoderm stop smoking aid 7 mg patches for 2-week head if you're in the United States and you want them they're really really thin so it'll only take me two stamps to mail them to you I offered him the phono plats first but if if he doesn't want them you you're welcome to have them I also I also got the gum but I use the gum for when I'm in school and I hope to one day quit but let's be real it hasn't work yet

fuck you radley, you'd never get me down and you're too out of shape to kick above my shins
on a serious note, patches are shit. the habit you're trying to break is getting nicotine hits, not having a background level of nicotine in your blood. you'd just smoke with a patch on and become even more tolerant of nicotine.

I used to smoke from age 13 until age 18. I managed to not smoke a single cigarette for the next seven years until I became deeply depressed at age 25. Then after a month or two of smoking, I quit. Then at age 26, I smoked here and there again. I recently started going to school again so I decided to buy cigarettes so I could smoke them in order to kill time. Last week, I bought a pack of twenty cigarettes. I smoked all of that in the course of three days. Yesterday, I bought another pack of twenty cigarettes. I plan on smoking all of it by next weekend. After that, I will see whether or not I will continue to smoke. My only motivation for smoking is to kill time, for instance, when I arrive twenty minutes earlier before my first class starts. And also during lunch breaks.

As for quitting tips, I say you should gradually reduce the number of cigarettes that you smoke. Let's say you smoke five cigarettes per day. Make sure to smoke only four cigarettes the next day. Then keep that up for a while before you reduce the number to three. Then two. And then one. Eventually none.

I have some nicotine patches (2 boxes) I got for nothing. Haven’t used them yet because I’m still smoking ( less than 5 ciggies a day now) thanks tho

That’s what I’ve been doing. Plus the vape. When the pack & 1/2 are gone I’m done with the cigarettes. I’ll do the vape & gum and hopefully be weaned down enough by the last week of this month to cut everything out.
It helps if you have a medical scare or something that really opens your eyes to the harm it's causing.
If I wanted someone I knew to quit smoking, I'd try to set up something with their doctor behind their back, where the doc basically pretends to be alarmed by something and then just tells them outright, "if you don't quit smoking immediately, you'll be dead within a month. If you can quit though, you'll be fine and back to normal in no time."
It's probably unethical lol but I think it could be pretty effective for a lot of people.

I had a doctor do that at a clinic once, wish I had taken him more serious lol.
Who's your doctor? I'll set something up again to scare the shit out of you lol.
My left arm has been going sort of tingly/numb when I lay a certain way as of a few days ago and it's not going away, which I looked it up and it's telling me might be a warning sign of a heart attack, or a bunch of other minor things, but either way it's got me a little on edge so I basically just quit smoking 4 days ago and I think I'm just done forever lol. I've been needing a good excuse for a while I just haven't had the willpower to follow through but I'm gonna just pretend that I'll die if I ever smoke again and hopefully it works.
Or I might just die here soon anyway but whatever I guess. I've had my fun.
