Russian embassy in US posted:We stress once again: 🇷🇺 is not going to attack anyone. The practice of moving troops on our own soil is a sovereign right. We call to end the hysteria and not to pile on tension around the #Donbass problem.
(February 12th, 2022)
https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2022/feb/12/ukraine-crisis-russia-invasion-fears-putin-biden-latest-newsIn Moscow, Yuri Ushakov, a senior foreign policy adviser, called the conversation between the leaders “balanced and businesslike” and confirmed “the presidents have agreed to continue contacts at all levels”. But he rejected US claims that a Russian attack was imminent. “Hysteria has reached its peak,” Ushakov said.

2022-08-23 at 2:25 PM UTC1. yeah, now that the SBU, under the direct control of the CIA/MI6, are committing terror attacks inside Russia, it's quite likely that they're going to start caring less about collateral damage and preserving the operation of the central government.
2. regardless of whether troop movements were normal or not (only 10% of the standing army was committed to the SMO, around the same time two major tank battalions were reactivated that had been disbanded when the Ukraine declared neutrality), Russia didn't make a move until the AFU started staging their entire military to lay siege to the Donbass (which has been confirmed for mid-march), not to mention Zelensky's lunatic nuclear threats.
The smart move would probably be to continue slowly grinding down the AFU, but they will respond in one way or another. -

True, when that attack happened at Istanbul airport a few years ago I could get a flight from Houston to Manchester (via Istanbul) for $500 vs about $1000 normally. -

There are no civilian flights to Ukraine any more, they were all cancelled as soon as the invasion happened due to the risk of a civilian airliner getting shot down the same way that Malaysian Airlines plane did.
Also Groceries lives on like the 30th floor (I dunno for sure though, she never let me visit her apartment). -
