Stop Leak Oil Additives?

   I've got quite the leak on my hands and was wondering if those stop leak oil additives are just a gimmick or if they actually work.
   Sounds like a temporary fix at best maybe...

   The work for small leaks but are only for temporary use...so don't bother unless you have no other choice.

   They swell up your gaskets and seals. I would recommend against them. Over time they will shrink again and then leak as bad or worse.
   
   What is the leak on? Vehicle and area?

   only seals.
   
   gaskets dont swell because they dont contain rubber.
