    Of course my experience has been few companies do 100% background checks…again lie…worse case they'll background check you and you don't get the job…either way if you have a criminal background they still aren't going to give you the job in 9/10 cases…so you have little to nothing to lose by lying about it and everything to gain.

    aren't there industry blacklists for that though

    Criminal history has no effect on job performance, in fact a person with a strong criminal background is preferred because they aren't afraid to get dirty and raw to the core and go against the rules written by some bureaucrat that has never worked a manual labor job in their life

    I wouldn't hire a criminal that has theft or sex charges.
