    An Automatic tractor trailer. in a mountain with "Switchbacks" it means the roads literally will go from north to south to north up a hill or east to west.. etc etc

    just to get up and over, because it was the only way to put the highway expansion through areas like Montana, Cali Sierra, Rocky Mountains.

    "how well does an automatic big rig do while driving switchbacks". that is what I am asking.
