You wonder why in that film Studio 54 with Mike Myers playing the Club Owner in NYC back in the 70s and 80s was hiding money up in his office ceiling as his own 401k everything else stays boarded in the red.

But I also figured since you moved to Texas, That shit don't play there. You keep what you make (or most of it.. you have to pay people a decent fair salary)
that's the trade-off. I would rather pay people a better wage or salary and keep the profits to expand. that's how Capitalism succeeds. not hyper-capitalism where you pay shit wages and usually hire non-union but illegal citizens from Mexico and maybe sponsor them to stay for 6 months at a time.

I'm in the middle, I understand it's a "necessary evil" for things to work the way they work. Hence why I've built my credit to the max it can be...but don't necessarily use it in the way most Americans do...in that they act like it's another bank account to be drawn from.
The debt crisis the average American is in is driven by their own greed, weakness and lack of personal responsibility...I don't blame the system for dumb fucks getting in over their head, they are responsible for themselves and their actions.
I had a friend who had 30k credit card debt and he cashed in some of his 401k to pay it off...about a month after paying it all off he was up to 10k again after going shopping now his cards were all empty.
Being a bloody foreigner without any backup I think of my excellent credit as an emergency fund only...or as a "go out with a bang" when the time comes...that could either be going back to England and fucking the man before I go by maxing everything out...or as mentioned having a hell of a couple of months living before I put a bullet in my head.
For me it's an emergency backup, for the majority it's a spending spree...which they can't afford.
Make credit work for you, not for the man. -

Yeah, i'm not touching mine either. I just use them for conviencance and pay them back down to 0 when they post.
i didn't work much these past weeks. It still feels things have slid back to "shut in" times however not many people ordering. I think people are going broke again. -
