Why are fish and chips MORE expensive on the east COAST

2021-12-12 at 2:03 AM UTCDepends wether you want cod or haddock I guess
Besides that the prices vary everywhere especially if it’s on a coastal resort but never really thought about it
I used to love fish n chips but it’s so unhealthy so I’ll only get it every now and again
And what a fucking cringe slogan
2021-12-12 at 3:02 AM UTChow much for a fish and chip in UKL??
2021-12-12 at 3:28 AM UTCyea i think its about like 16 or 18 bux for 3 piece fish n chips , but they dont have pootine and i dont think you can specifiy what kind of fish - they just use white fish. jigaboo would be furious.
ps Opey, good thread. i was thinking about doing a thread fish n chip related a few weeks ago. it was gonna ask people about using malt vinegar on their fish. dunno why but i never try it , i just squeeze the lemon slice onto the fish sometimes before dunking it in tartar sauce. which by the way, thats kind of gross that tooth-scum is called tartar and the sauce is called tartar and its clumpy and kinda gross looking. good stuff tho i do say
2021-12-12 at 3:41 AM UTCDon’t forget tha bread cake, mushy peas n chip shop curry sauce

2021-12-12 at 4:29 AM UTC(tbf to the chippie in question "stay where you're at 'til i come where you is" or some shit is like common newfie slang? maybe? something to that effect. fucking weirdos, m8. just a strange people innit.)
2021-12-12 at 4:34 AM UTChonestly the quebecois want to separate from canada but i feel like the newfies have a better claim. they practically speak a different language too, and at least they live on an island. just let 'em bois go, bud. they aren't us.

Spoken like an uniformed Canadian...fries are not chips.
You can't fucking get Good English chips in the Americas...25yrs I've been here and NEVER found good chips...just those stringy shitty fries as in your PHOTO...a chip is fat, soggy and greasy...not thin and crispy.
Oh and it's cooked in actual ANIMAL fat...and the fish is COD, not fucking catfish.
2022-01-11 at 3:14 PM UTC$4.50 to $7.75 for french fries? That is the true rip off. It's a fucking potato that you can get for just a couple of bucks for ten lbs. That's where you're getting bufued.
2022-01-11 at 3:25 PM UTCThere's less niggers there.

what the fuck are you talking about. First of all they are called fries and were invented by the French who also turned your people into huge faggots that spell shit wrong. Those fries look perfectly fine, probably better than any garbage you have ever had.
American food is nothing but fat and grease and british food is just bland so combine that and you have a person with probably the worst sense of taste or cooking ever that can't even beat bradley B prison food in a chili or stew cook off, yikes.
It is COD and haddock they usually serve. The quality is above and beyond, my only complaint is the price. Things make sense now, the reason it's so cheap in the UK is because it's poverty tier garbage food for hangovers over there eaten by faggots that call fries "chips" even though it's literally just a cut up potato, no fucking difference.

it's potatoes not filet mignon, there is nothing special about british "chips" that makes them any different from anywhere else on the planet that cooks potatoes.
You aren't a special snowflake, it's just a potato.
