We need to have a talk about apples new invasion of privacy

This is a huge invasion of privacy
I discovered this by accident yesterday when I opened a picture and saw that the text on the photo had been highlighted
Then I remembered that they were going to hash pictures and videos to check for child porn
You know they’re going to bring this to Mac OS and you fucking know Microsoft will be doing this as well
Privacy is effectively dead and now every device you will own from a monitor to your operating system and your eventually hmd will be constantly monitored and all your actions will be cataloged
The tech industry needs to be stopped and these people must be taken to court
They can’t just do this shit without public consent -

Invest time in learning Linux, and leave the masses to wallow in the shit they love so much. If you absolutely must have e.g. whatsapp or whatever crap, buy a cheap android burner with a removable battery so you can at least have some control over your pleb-tech.
The cat's out of the bag with privacy, there's nothing that will be done. Private companies now already have the most detailed insights into the human psyche, and they now know exactly what buttons to push to suppress dissent. They won't give it up willingly. -

I would switch to Linux if only it had better software support
Kdenlive is trash and there isn’t any dvd authoring software for Linux
Sure I can use Renoise for music production but there isn’t anything comparable to fl studio or the like, lmms is cheap shoddy shit
But yeah for general computing I should switch to Linux -

There is a lot I do that simply isn’t available on Linux
Linux has really horrible software support and that needs to be addressed before it can become a real competitor to windows
Unfortunately the age of personal computing has come and gone and now mixed reality and mobile computing are where everyone’s focus is
