   but why do the inactive ingredients matter in terms of potency? in theory, every equal dosage generic shud be just as potent as the name-brand.

   well -- for the active ingrdient -- pharma companies are allowed to jip you 30% of the active ingredient and auro sure as hell takes advantage of that.
