   In February of 2019 Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi joined the NAACP in calling for Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam to resign over Northam appearing in a photo in his medical school yearbook that showed him dressed in blackface beside a person wearing a Ku Klux Klan outfit.
