Yes i am nuts. Making AP Putty with TATP and Nitrocellulose dissolved in acetone makes it marginally safer to handle. Also like i said in the other explosives thread i have more than 15 years of experience with dangerous chemicals and both high and low explosives. So you definitely shouldn't try this at home.
Also, it's kind of insane how much TATP will dissolve in acetone. If you ever wanna make giant crystals of death that's one way to do it. But you should only dissolve it with the intention of making AP Putty.
Anyway, i have Ammonium Nitrate and a couple kinds of 'fuel oil', but it's hard sourcing unadulterated H4No3 these days. Crazy part is i have an easier time sourcing KNo3, Hcl and H2So4. And to be honest with you i prefer Picric Acid to AMXX, it's just unfortunate that it's literally toxic.
I much rather deal with a sensitive primary than a toxic secondary, even though Picric Acid is arguably in a category of it's own due to it's sensitivity.
Anyway, imma make a AP Putty charge with a crescent shaped water buffer for my next kaboom, like i was saying i wanna see if i can crack concrete with an oddly shaped water buffer. I would have made a proper breaching charge, but a water buffer hadn't occurred to me when i was making the Putty so now it's set. I'd have to cast it, which is not impossible, just better done with that intention from the beginning.
