"Public health and clinical laboratories reported 2,038 flu cases during the season from Sept. 27, 2020, to April 24, 2021, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agency estimated about 38 million people were sick with the flu during the 2019-2020 season."

An estimate is not a data point, it's just a meaningless number. And the WHO recorded on average 650,000 flu DEATHS for all previous years, so where are they for 2020?

Again you made the claim WHO and CDC had said the Flu was "eradicated"...they didn't, feel free to cite that official statement.

If there was 1 case of flu worldwide (which of course there was) then it wasn't "eradicated"

Yeah that's a magazine...not the WHO or CDC...but did you even read your own source?

"Since the novel coronavirus began its global spread, influenza cases reported to the World Health Organization from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres have dropped to minute levels. "

Minute levels does not = "eradicated"

I'd expect many transmissible diseases were heavily reduced in numbers because of the social distancing.

But if "masks and social distancing curtailed the flu", why did the Covid numbers keep rising at the same time? See how this works?

because Covid is a lot more contagious, didn't have a vaccine (like the flue does)...and had already infected millions before social distancing and mask mandates were put in place...duh.

Apparently, you have to try really, really, hard to be a dishonest and determined idiot these days.

Well you failed didn't you...because WHO and CDC never said what you claimed...better luck next time.

    Riddle me this, Einstein:

What was the infection rate for the flu in 2019?

What was the infection rate for Covid-19 in 2020?

As Scientific American reported in November 2020, the drop-off in flu numbers following COVID’s arrival was swift and global. Since then, cases have stayed remarkably low. “There’s just no flu circulating,” says Greg Poland, who has studied the disease at the Mayo Clinic for decades. The U.S. saw about 700 deaths from influenza during the 2020–2021 season. In comparison, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates there were approximately 22,000 U.S. deaths in the prior season and 34,000 deaths two seasons ago.

Since the novel coronavirus began its global spread, influenza cases reported to the World Health Organization from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres have dropped to minute levels. The reason, epidemiologists think, is that the public health measures taken to keep the coronavirus from spreading—notably mask wearing and social distancing—also stop the flu. However, influenza viruses are transmitted in much the same way as SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

until you realize how many flu doses were administered last season.

I was speaking relatively. I'm just fucking around with you for amusement, son, but there's no doubt they used the flu numbers to pad their bogus flu numbers. And I think you realize that yourself.
