World to hit temperature tipping point 10 years faster than forecast

That is absolutely NOT how the scientific method works. Science evolves as the knowledge base advances, some theories advance with a preponderance of evidence and some are cast aside as better data comes to light.

The fact that you think science is “written in stone” is exactly what I mean when I say you are incapable of critical thinking. If Einstein thought science was set do you think he’d ever have amended Newton’s laws that had held up for centuries? You don’t know what science is, you have a middle school education

Well, it is now. The "experts" cannot be questioned. Their "findings" are set in stone. Their models flawless. And if you disagree, you will go to jail. Bend a knee to the exacting standards of "science", for "science" is always right.
  3. The HIVE MIND MUST RULE. Let's call it a "consensus". LOCKSTEP. "We're all in this together." "We can't all be wrong." Disagree with the HIVE MIND and you will pay dearly. We will freeze your bank account, freeze your insurance, disallow you from buying groceries, ban you from restaurants and bars, take away your children, deny you lifesaving care, trample you with horses, and declare you an Enemy Combatant. SCIENCE IS A CONSENSUS and must be obeyed, at ALL costs..

Oh I see now you were doing a thing. Well you can’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Science can be an imperfect and controversial process and it’s all subject to the fallibility of man at the end of the day.

But it’s also responsible for all the modern creature comforts you enjoy like schizoposting on a dead website 14 hours a day about shit you know nothing about.

You can’t just take for granted all the shit science came up with that’s beneficial to you but then if something disagrees with your predetermined worldview, NOW science is a problem. It doesn’t work that way

NO. You are not permitted to disagree. Disagreeing with the "established" science is sacrilege, and you will be punished to the maximum extent of the Law. After all, a million Facebook Factcheckers can't be wrong. Worship at the Alter of Science, and all will be well, and all manner of things will be well.
  6. It’s not an either/or proposition. You can look at available data critically and come to some kind of conclusion somewhere in the middle without swallowing the propaganda wholesale. But you have a condition of black and white thinking that doesn’t permit this kind of nuance
  7. The way it is right now, if you don't 100% agree with the current scientific consensus, you are a conspiracy theorist and a nut who needs to be shamed and harmed. Kind of ironic, since science itself is actually a theory. That's what happens when you mix politics with science.

Can you name a single person who has shamed or harmed you?

Nobody can shame or harm me.

Kind of sounds like you're crying about nothing then.

Just stating a fact you don't like to hear.

I actually agree with you, science is weaponized for political purposes and most people are too dumb to suss out what’s really going on because the standard of scientific literacy is abysmal.

You’re among the group that’s too stupid to know any better except you just go with whatever the other side says. You are exactly what you claim to be against

Not true. I'm on whatever side isn't lying. I'm on my side.

Science is constantly discovering scientific facts are not true.

Texas heat wave: US Energy Department declares power emergency

As the heat wave continues to shatter records across the country, including in Texas, energy demand for things like air conditioning have frequently taxed the state’s delicate power grid with wind and solar energy helping to prop it up.
  16. That the State can't manage their own power grid is not a fault of the weather, it's a fault of gross incompetency.

They should have gone nuclear. Lot of open space full of nothing in Texas. They could have dozens of them

They like it just the way it is. Supply and demand. If electricity is scarce, the sky is the limit on pricing. If electricity was plentiful and cheap, the prices would drop significantly, and they can't have that.

Climate crisis could contribute to a global food shortage by 2050, US special envoy on food security warns | Cary Fowler says world needs to produce 50-60% more food by middle of the century but global heating is expected to reduce yield rates

Fowler, who is also known as the “father” of the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, a global store of seeds for the most significant crops, said studies by agricultural economists showed the world needed to produce 50-60% more food by 2050 in order to feed its growing population. But crop yields rates were projected to decline by between 3-12% as a result of global heating.

“We’re going to fall fairly short of being able to provide that kind of increase in food production by mid-century,” Fowler said.
