Doesn't understand 'brand new records" are created every year...EVERY YEAR since records began...so no, it's not news that we have a "brand new record"... (and it's not reflective or proof of any particular change either).

Areas set records all the time. Doesn't mean it's global. Only an idiot looks in his backyard and sees snow and figures everyone else is seeing the same thing.

Post Pandemic, Coal Use and CO2 Emission Highest Ever

As the economy recovers post pandemic and Europe searches for any energy it can get its hands on, CO2 emission is the highest it has ever been in human history, and so is the amount of coal burning every day.

Developing countries continue to use fossil fuels to expand their economies beyond ecological limits, while developing countries drag their feet about their own transitions to clean energy (much less assisting developing countries with transitioning more cleanly).
  10. Obbe you should branch out and post some post apocalyptic recipes in the what's for dinner thread.

    mealworm pie
    rat-atouie
    radiation scab scones

    etc

More than half of all CO2 emissions since 1751 emitted in the last 30 years
  12. That's what THEY want you to believe...have you actually checked the emissions yourself?

We burn more today than we did during the industrial revolution. This will continue for decades to come at least. What people need to understand is that energy use is additive. Beyond whale oil, we've never replaced one energy source with another. We've only added new energy sources. The world today still uses the same amount of traditional biomass as it did in 1800. We've never replaced biomass with fossil fuels. We've added fossil fuels. The same is true for hydro and nuclear. There's literally no reason to believe we won't do the same with solar and wind.

Tens of thousands still in the dark after 'targeted' attacks on North Carolina power substations

The FBI is joining the investigation into power outages in a North Carolina county believed to have been caused by "intentional" and "targeted" attacks on substations that left around 40,000 customers in the dark Saturday night, prompting a curfew and emergency declaration.

That's 1 gigatonne. So you're "pretty sure" more than 1 gigatonne of C02 was burned per year when the industrial revolution began. But, of course, you have nothing to show why you're "pretty sure" that's the case.

    As if that even matters.
