Human arrogance leads us to believe we need to save the planet, when we should be focused on saving ourselves. We are all eventually going to die and humanity won't be remembered, except for maybe plastic.

Warming waters cited as "key culprit" in mass die-off of Alaska snow crabs

Climate change is a prime suspect in a mass die-off of Alaska's snow crabs, experts say, after the state took the unprecedented step of canceling their harvest this season to save the species.

The trawl industry is doing a great job of keeping their part of this out of the news. They have a much bigger lobby than any other fishery in Alaska. There are several factors at play in the disappearance of snow crab.

These industries are greedy and there is no doubt they are overfishing the area, as are pirate fishing fleets from other nations. Cold water species are also physiologically different than warm water species, and warmer waters interfere with their musculature, metabolic processes, and the oxygen saturation of the water. There’s a reason why aquatic species like trout live in cold streams and die off in the summer when stocked where they don’t occur naturally.

Overfishing, trawling, and significant habitat loss paired with warming water and melting ice allowing fishers to travel farther into the crab’s breeding grounds are all contributing factors to this mass die off.

But, in fact, humanity will be here forever on a paradise earth, just as initially intended. The plan never changed, it was merely interrupted.

In fact Earth is just a phase of the human experience.

NJ sues oil, gas companies alleging they deceived public over climate change

The lawsuit, filed in Mercer County, alleges that Exxon Mobil, Shell Oil, Chevron, BP, ConocoPhillips and the American Petroleum Institute have known for decades that fossil fuels are a major cause of climate change.

see how the report didnt report on the thriving of warm water specieses of crabs and other fishes that replaced these cold watwe crabs.

    "cited"

They haven't done ANY research as to why the crabs disappeared yet...I guess "cited" means "opinion/guessing"

Seems like every fucking natural disaster now is "oh...global warming"..Natural disasters must never have happened before man and his motor car came along huh...

Maybe the crabs got netted by the over_fishing Japan is known to do.

Maybe the crabs got bored and left with the bees to another planet were their work is respected as a form of art

I don't see how they'd have standing. Nobody has "standing" these days, due to worthless judges who don't want to do their jobs.

Crabs are pretty smart, maybe they just fucked off to the waters under the arctic ice cap to avoid being boiled to death for titty bar buffets.

Paris climate activists have found a new way to get across their message against energy waste in the City of Light -- switching off store signs and advertising screens that are kept on all night even though the government has urged people to cut back electricity use

"There are 12 million people going cold in France because they can't heat their homes, and on the other hand we're wasting this energy on advertising signs that are completely useless consumption,"

It's OK, global warming will heat them right?

^ People threatening to attack the US government.

Looks like the snowflakes are melting. Any "militia" in America is probably chock full of feds and people who would turn on their "fellow" patriots for the right amount of money.

When you bootlickers and hoax perpetrators get dragged out and hung in a civil war it won't be so funny.
