Minecraft 1.17 comes out tomorrow

   It's not the full update, they chopped it in half. There are no caves and hardly any cliffs, i'm kinda salty
   
   
   
   here is a list of stuff they did add;
   
   axolotl and goats
   
   crystals
   
   
   dripstone and copper
   
   
   
   raw gold/raw iron blocks, azaela leafs
   
   
   moss and azaela tree
   
   
   
   they also added candles and spyglass and some other stuff but it's a pretty underwhelming update I think. Comes out some time tomorrow

   There's no international standard for versions of software.
   
   It's possible minecraft is using Semantic Versioning, which is all the rage these days.
   
   Which means it would only go to v2 once you couldn't play v1 worlds in it.

   Usually it's like this:
   
   Version 1 of the game
   
   17th major update
   
   Any . after the 17 will be considered a minor update.
   
   
   Ubuntu has a weird version number scheme. They go by the year it was released, and you have LTS releases every 2 or 4 years.
