Facial Recognition and My Database of Faces

   I have gathered a database of 20k+ faces in a few days and hope to have hundreds of thousands soon.
   
   Should I use existing facial rec software or reinvent the wheel and make my own?
   
   For some reason I think I can do better than existing software.

   I suppose it would be interesting to make your own. Would something like Tensorflow be adequate for such an endeavor?
