One thing I can say for certain is that I have a special relationship with everyone at my job .. from the staff to my patients..
I have a way of making everyone feel like my favorite person in the world
If you asked everyone that I know here they’d say we have a special relationship and we do
It actually reminds me of my father .. because with 9 children he managed to make us all think we were his favorite
And we didn’t even know until after he passed when we began to all brag about being the favorite..
He had told us all at one point in our lives we were his fav 💚😭😆
We couldn’t do anything but laugh and smile because we actually understand his meaning behind that ...
Because a real Dad knows how that effects his kids ..we just wanted to make him proud
That’s all we ever wanted to do because he was so awesome
But I think I get that from my dad .. I have a way of making everyone feel like my #1...
And in reality they really all are my number one ..

We were all sitting at the big dining room table after the repass and someone was like ..
I hate to tell y’all .. but daddy said .. I was the favorite...
And I’m like hold on .. he told me I was the favorite
Then someone else is like well wait just a damn min.. I thought iiiiii!! Was ...
We couldn’t do anything but laugh and feel good inside .. because we knew what his reasoning was behind that ..
He knew how happy being the fav would make us ..

There are people who can sing ...I'm talking about amazing vocalist...but then there are people who have been anointed to sing by God..
You can feel the emotion ..coming from their soul...

Imma tell y'all the story of when i made my daddy cry at church because he had no idea i could sing like that ..

So my daddy came down here from Chicago for my big brothers wedding ...and he stayed for a few days ...
So i already was geeked because he chose to stay at my apartment..I was living in an apartment the youngest of 9 and my other siblings had houses and stuff but my daddy chose to stay with me in that apartment for his stay ...
That made me feel special as hell ...I was dating this black guy named Marcus ...
Marcus was like Daryl...that should explain his personality...
So my dad told Marcus to hang up his coat... And as Marcus took my fathers coat his arm kinda dropped...
And he just gave me this look ..and lifted it up and down to show me it was heavy ...
So i didn't think anything of it...but later on that day he told me...your daddy has a gun ..
It was hilarious to me ..but i understand my father was a military man traveling out of town so it was normal to me ...
I'm just high rambling leading up to the story ...

So that Sunday my daddy was gonna go back to Chicago but he wanted to go to our family's church first ...and I wasn't in the church choir but I'd always do solos....
So that Sunday was no different...I sang one of my favorite church songs called "I won't complain"...
I'm singing and as i look out into the pews I see my daddy crying...
So after I sang the service was over and my daddy told me with tears in his eyes ...
He said i had no idea you could sing like that ...if i had known id have done something more to encourage your gift
And I told him i Said daddy you did ...i did musical theatre ...
That's what I was doing at the theater all those times ...
