"Methods of converting cannabidiol to A-tetrahydrocannab (22) PCT Filed: Mar. 7, 2002 inol or A-tetrahydrocannabinol are described. The described methods produce higher yields and higher purity (86) PCT No.: PCT/CA02/00451 compared to prior art method
Conversion of CBD to A-THC 0059) CBD (300 mg) was added to dried p-toluene sulfonic acid (30 mg) in toluene (15 ml), under N atmo sphere. In this example, the mixture was refluxed (under N) for 1 hour, although other time periods may also be used, as discussed below. It was then diluted with ether (20 ml) and poured into cold water, The upper layer was Separated, washed with aqueous 5% NaHCO, then with water, dried over MgSO and evaporated. The viscous oil showed mainly one spot on TLC (using 20% ether in petroleum ether as eluent). HPLC, on the crude oil, showed the presence of 86% A-THC. The oil was chromatographed on a silica gel column (6 g). Elution with 5 to 10% ether in petroleum ether gave a fraction (244 mg, 81%) of A-THC 98.6% pure. When the reaction was carried out using various reflux times showed the presence of 79.33% A-THC (15 minutes), 81.7% A-THC (30 minutes) and 84.6% A-THC (2 hour" -

How is that one step -
2021-04-29 at 3:59 PM UTCIt's also not new. They've been able to do this probably since the 1970s/80s when all these cannabinoids were discovered.
I'm more talking about high thca strains of hemp tho. This stuff I have now just had a new lab posted by the vendor @ 18% thca!
Fucking nuts that this is technically federally legal just because the preharvest d9thc (not thca) test was below 0.3%. -

2021-04-29 at 5:39 PM UTCI thought that's what you meant by turning hemp into weed. I don't know what hemp is constituted of but if there's a lot of CBD you could convert it to thc which is something I proposed to polecat a few years ago

2021-04-29 at 6:07 PM UTCI count workup as one step so it's 2 steps at most.

That is how they make delta-8 THC. It is all converted cannabinoids. Its how they make CBG, CBN, CBT, THCv, etc. All from CBD I believe.
But this is different and sexy -
