that city used to be a delight to visit in the 70s and 80s as a kid. now its a filthy mirror of LA and I kind of dred going there. not because its aged poorly and the demographics of middle class families with the American dream is gone and replaced by gangs and section 8 housing and bars on the windows (especially West Sac) but well.. same reason yet I used to visit friends there often in my youth and its just sad to see that fucked up place.
to me its strange that I talk to adults who were not even existing in the 1980s let alone 70s or were babies back in the late 80s and have no clue what the world was like pre-internet. it was simple but amazing. it had people able to do shit that is illegal now. Like letting your kids ride in the back of a pickup or drinking at a campground without some park ranger or park police/sheriff busting your balls. they came around back then and said their stuff but they didnt write tickets they just gave suggestions.
everything is illegal now. but I dont understand your crazy obsession with being in prisons. its like you want to go back because you´re lonely now and no one out on the streets understands your crazy fucking ass yet all your homeboys you were locked up with do.
